Why K.O.DOJO
More than karate
It is not just about technique. Every session shapes character, on the mat and far beyond it. These are the five values that carry us.
Karate Do
Karate is a way
„Do" means way. Karate is not a goal you reach, but a path you walk for a lifetime, exactly as tradition describes it. Those who start early shape their character step by step and grow into a strong, grounded person. From the first playful training at age four to full-contact competition, we guide you at every stage of this path.
-
4–6 years K.O.KIDS 4–6
Learning structure and how to listen: first steps, first successes, first confidence. Playful, lovingly guided, age-appropriate.
-
7–10 years K.O.KIDS 7–10
Gaining security, learning to stand your ground. Those who train here carry themselves differently in the schoolyard: calmer, clearer, more confident.
-
11–14 years K.O.KIDS 11–14
Now it gets competitive. First tournaments, first sporting successes, real team spirit. For the ambitious there is the competition group.
-
Modern K.O.FIGHTING
Sparring, fighting techniques and full intensity. With competition preparation on request, where strong character becomes a fighter.
-
Traditional K.O.KARATE
Kihon, Kata and Kumite. Tradition meets modern training. The stage that stays: karate is something you train for a lifetime.

Common questions
Any questions?
From what age can my child start?
From age four. In the Kids 4–6 group, playful movement comes first: coordination, concentration and the first karate basics, built up in a child-friendly way.
What do I need to bring to the trial class?
Just comfortable sportswear and something to drink. We train barefoot. If you already have experience and your own protective gear, feel free to bring it.
Do you have different memberships?
Yes. There are flexible, monthly-cancellable plans as well as discounted 12- and 24-month plans. We will discuss which plan suits you in person, at your own pace.
How often per week can I train?
That depends on your membership and the plan you choose. We offer plans for once a week, twice a week and unlimited training.
How much does a membership cost?
We have different membership plans depending on training volume and commitment period. Memberships start at €75 per month. After a trial class we are happy to advise you in person on which plan fits you best. Our current prices are always available in our brochure at the dojo.
Do I need prior experience?
No. Most people start from scratch. From day one you are placed in a suitable group and built up step by step, whether child or adult.
How does the trial class work?
You arrive a little early, get welcomed by the coaching team and take part in a full session. Afterwards we take our time, advise you, answer all your questions and show you our membership plans. Ask our team about the current trial offer, too.
Are you a club or a business?
K.O.DOJO is a family business. But through our school all members are automatically part of the Sportunion Karate Do Kyokushinkai club and thus officially registered with the world and national federations. This means gradings are internationally recognized and you can take part in all club activities: gradings, training camps, seminars, camps and club events. We are members of:
- International Federation of Karate-Kyokushin (IFK)
- Austrian Kyokushin Federation (AKF)
- Austrian Karate Federation (ÖKB)
- Sportunion Wien
