Common questions

Any questions?

From what age can my child start?

From age four. In the Kids 4–6 group, playful movement comes first: coordination, concentration and the first karate basics, built up in a child-friendly way.

Does my child have to fight full contact?

No. Full contact is voluntary and only happens at an advanced level in tournaments, for children who choose it themselves. Training always uses protective gear, in partner drills just as in sparring. Your child learns to stand their ground in a protected setting.

Is karate not a high-injury sport?

In our experience, far less happens here than in stop-and-go sports such as football or handball. There, most injuries come from unpredictable movements: abrupt stopping, turning and collisions. In karate every movement is guided and practised, and protective gear is always worn.

What does my child need to bring to the trial class?

Just comfortable sportswear and something to drink. We train barefoot.

How does the trial class work?

You arrive a little early, the coaching team welcomes you and your child takes part in a full session. Afterwards we take our time, advise you and show you our membership plans. Ask our team about the current trial offer, too.

How often per week can my child train?

That depends on the plan you choose. We offer memberships for once a week, twice a week and unlimited training.

How much does a membership cost?

We have different membership plans depending on training volume and commitment period. Memberships start at €75 per month. After a trial class we are happy to advise you in person on which plan fits best.
